I have a SAT-T60 that I just upgraded to a 200gb hard drive. Everything appears to have gone well and it seems to be working fine. When I ran COPYKERN it came back and said 2 files were read only, and that the kernel was successfully copied. Is this what should normally come up on the screen. I was just concerned that it said 2 files were read only. I really dont want to have any problems in the future, and I assume that I need the new 2.5.2 kernel from copykern for large drive support and 256 swap file support. Am I OK, or will I be in trouble further down the road?

sounds like you are selecting the kernel for 2.5.2 systems, not 3.1.0 or above; better go back and try again (assuming you are running 3.1.1c2 or something similar on your TiVo, yes?)

My tivo has 2.5.2 so I am selecting the 2.5.2 kernel in copykern. Should I be selecting 3.1 even though my tivo is 2.5.2? It looks like you are trying to tell me that it is not good that copykern came back with a message saying those 2 files were read only. Am i being fooled by the final message that said kernel copied successfully?

on another note you replied with "do not cross post"... I'm not sure what that is but I assume that I must have asked my question twice and now I see that the thread was closed. I apologize for that. I was never to savvy on these forums.

Just select based upon the software revision you are running; in your case 2.5.2 Not sure about the messages you are receiving. I recommend you update to the latest version of the software (3.1.1c-02) for best results.
