So at first glance, I am sure people will tell me to just look at the box to find out the model, and if it was that easy, I would not be posting.

I have a series 2 stand alone tivo. These boxes were purchased through my company for a project with tivo, and when the project ended, the boxes were given out to employees (legitimately). I can't and won't go into any more info on this so don't ask :p .

Looking in the system info, it lists the manufactured brand as TiVo, Platform Series 2.

Is there any other way to find out which instacake could be appropriate?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks :D

Knowing the model number is key, and it typically is as easy as looking at the box. If that is not possible for some reason, then post the first 3 digits of your service ID and we'll tell you what model you have.

First 3 digits are 1F0.
