Any word on modifications so that 400gb and larger hard drives will be usable for the HR10-250? Thanks

Looking for this same information as well ... I'd like to know which large drives are compatible for the 10-250 unit for us DIY's.

Please see the release notes for information regarding drive sizes.  Also, the official instantcake support thread should serve as a useful resource.

In the interest of actully answering the question . . . I just upgraded an HR10-250 with a single 400G Seagate drive w/o any problems. Or at least no problems other than those resulting from operator error :) And the release notes say: "3.1.5 - HR10-250 (pre 7/24/2005) Maximum primary drive size is 250GB, and the maximum secondary drive size is 400GB. 3.1.5f - HR10-250 (post 7/24/2005) Supports as many as two drives, each as large as 400GB (2x500GB maximum)" Of course, if you read the release notes, you see that the answer is not entirely clear . . . .

I just upgraded my HR10-250 with a single 750GB Seagate drive with no problems whatsoever.  I did run into trouble, though, trying to go to a double drive setup using two 750GB drives.  It got stuck on the Welcome screen.  Anyone have any thoughts on this?  I would think if it would accept one drive as large as this without any trouble, two shouldn't be any different.

Thanks.
