I did the 70 hour / 470 hour upgrade and everthing thing works fine.
I am able to remote control my box and download the all *.Ty files to my computer. I also can watch them with my media player.
The only thing what does not work is the "tyStudio editor".
After I download the file to my computer and I try to open the file local I receive the message"Failed to load the selected TY file" ???
All I want to do is to convert this file so I canread it with DVD Shrink and burn it on DVD.
The second question I have is about the caller ID option. Id I use this I need to connect the phone line. If I connect the phone line does my 10-250 download software upgrades ??

Give up any hope of using tystudio for stuff like this. Development appears to have been abandoned quite some time ago.
But you can still do what you want to do.
If you just want to convert the file and burn to DVD, just turn it into a VOB file with TyTool. OR if you want to compress it first, then use Auto Gordian Knot (autogk.net) to compress, strip out close captioning 'noise' etc.
If you want to edit the file first, Use GOPEDITOR which is part of the TyTool package. Latest version can be downloaded here:

Generate a key frame file first, then use the gopeditor to create a cut list; process the file and you can cut out the commercials, then convert and burn as mentioned above.
The tools are clunky. But they are free - once you get the hang of it, you can do your editing quickly and then just batch them to autogk for compression and conversion.
