The PTVnet upgrade to my Series 2 DirecTivo has been working pretty flawlessly since installation nearly two months ago. Lately however, the daily call reminder has come back. I thought that by default, a hack was installed and activated to disable those messages. Is something going on? Is DirectTV on to me?! Why is it coming back? Can I reinstate it through a command via a shell command on the hackman menu of TivoWeb+? I've seen posting about flag_swap, but not really sure what the usage is supposed to be like for a) checking the status and b) changing it so that it does NOT make calls.

Thanks in advance.

That is interesting. Sounds like the "cron" job is not working. It may be as simple as restarting your unit. OR:

you can telnet into the unit and just type "fakecall.tcl" -- that will manually run the script and the annoying message will go away.
