It just doesn't work like that... The Series2 SA units are only designed for one tuner. Splitting your cable might be clunky, but its the only way to do it unless you get DirecTV and a dual-tuner combo unit. You might consider splitting the cable and getting a second TiVo, but that is probably overkill...
