Hello, I purchased IC yesterday, along with a new replacement 300 GB Maxtor drive for my SAS2 540080. I chose to replace the original drive and pack it away for a rainy day. Today I baked the drive at work using a Dell workstation. I had a few problems with the Dell detecting the cd drives after changing from cable select to Master / Slave configuration, but finally got the right combination and the bake went well. A few minutes ago I installed the drive and went through the clear delete and setup. I'm now waiting on indexing to finish.
My question is; If I ever go back to just my original drive, do I have to perform the clear and delete again?
Thanks for the great product!

P.S. This is my first post, although I've been reading and searching for about a week.

Glad all has gone well; should you put your original drive back into your own unit, you will not need to do the clear and delete everything again.
