I ordered your IC cd for TCD540040 last week (the actual cd).

Over the weekend, Tivo announced tive to go is ready and they will be
upgrading from 5.3 to 7.1 to make it work. I put myself on the priority list.
I checked my unit and saw it had 5.3 still. I rebooted and pulled the usb
wireless adapter so it wouldn't upgrade, since I haven't gotten the cd yet.

Was this the wise thing to do? Or should I just go ahead and let it upgrade
before I upgrade my drive with IC?

I intended to get TiVo to Go before installing any hacks (prom edit req'd).

What do you suggest?

You should upgrade with IC first; then your unit will upgrade to the latest version of the software from TiVo when they are ready to release their product.

Thanks for the quick answer! I'm glad my instincts were correct!

I anxiously await the arrival of my InstantCake cd...

BTW, Happy New Year, everyone!
