Hello.

I am a mac user without a PC, i was able to compile mfstools and get it running on my mac. My TiVo's hd is fried and i need to get it running again, if i buy an instantcake cd is it just filled with MFS images? or does it actually go through the steps of "hacking" the tivo with killhdinitrd and stuff?

Here is the link to the complete product description of InstantCake. It is likely that if you don't have a PC, the product won't be useful to you.

hmm, what is on the cd basically? scripts to backup the tivo image off the factory tivo drive, then modify that. or is there an actual TiVo image that mfstools just writes to the drive?

If theres a image that mfstools just writes to the drive, i can use that as ive compiled mfstools for OSX
