I bought and downloaded InstantCake for the standalone Series Philips HDR.
I used it to format an 80GB blank drive. I Installed this drive in the TiVo (HDR212). When I power on the TiVo, _nothing_ happens. The screen remains noise.
The TiVo _was_ working. It had two drives: the original 20GB drive, and a 60GB expansion drive which died. I removed the dead drive. After that the TiVo would start to boot, reaching the "Almost there" screen, then restart.
With the new "cake" drive, nothing happens. I tried "baking" the 20GB drive. Now nothing happens with that drive, either.
What is wrong?
