I just upgraded my TCD240040 series 2 with 1 160GB Seagate hard drive using InstantCake. The computer that I used to bake the HD is a p3 733 with 512mb of ram (if that is necessary) My tivo shows that I now have a 157 hour tivo (I thought the limit was 137 hours per drive). My tivo allows me to watch live tivo as well as pause, rewind, fast forward while the show is live. My tivo won't allow me to schedule a recording or to record anything. If I schedule a recording the show title will show up on the tivo as being recorded but when I select the show, I get the blue screen saying that tivo didn't get a video signal. If I try to record the current show I am watching live, the tivo won't let me save/record it. My tivo is getting a video signal so this confuses me. I have restarted my tivo and also cleared the tivo but I still have the same problem. Any ideas or help is appreciated?

That has been discussed here before. You are supposed to do a clear and delete everying upon installing the drive in your TiVo; before making any calls or updating any software. Others have posted suggestions as to the opposite; I know what has always worked here, so I would recommend that route if you haven't tried it already. Dig around in here and I'm almost certain this question has been asked and answered before in here...
