Although I have been reading and learning from a couple of forums for some time, I recently have run into a dilemma that I fail to find an answer that address it. If in fact an answer exists I would be pleased to respond to a location. If not maybe some one also has found a solution and would kindly share it with me.
One of my DTV units (Series1-Hughs GXCEBOT) HD went belly up and I replaced it with a new Maxtor 200g unit. Being I had no BU, I purchased and d/l a PTV iso referred as Insta Cake. I should mention, an excellent product. Fast d/l and inexpensive. However to get to the problem, everything is fine. Cache card auto installed along with ftp service and serial bash. My problem is I have grown used of accessing bash across the network and not having to plug in a serial cable. The unit is in another room from my computer. When I use tera-term I receive a reply "Connection Refused". I should state that I am using the latest C2 version of SW.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Printed out a copy of rc.net and to a look at the programming and seen that bin/bash command would not run unless the hidden file ".NETREADY" existed in subdir "var". I guess i took for granted that it would auto install from instant cake. Everything working great. :D
