I ordered a new cachecard (with the updated 2.2 firmware) -- I am using a Sony SVR2000 with a hard drive prepared with one of your InstantCake CDs.

Can I just install the cachecard in the Tivo and expect it to work? Or do I have to install newer drivers or something?

On this page (http://www.ptvupgrade.com/cachecard.html/) it says not to use the SiliconDust drivers -- is there a way to install those drivers that won't overwrite necessary NetReady files? (and if so, could someone provide step-by-step instructions on how to do that?)

Thanks!

You can use the NetReady Beta downloads on our site and it should work with your new CacheCard; there is a new version of cachecard.o that will do the trick; or you can just upload cachecard.o from the beta silicondust distribution.

also, am I supposed to follow the instructions from this page:
http://www.ptvupgrade.com/support/netready/install-core-and-tivoweb.html

before dealing with the cachecard.o file?

If you are cool with putting cachecard.o in /lib/modules (don't forget to transfer the file as a binary file) then you don't need to go through our NetReady download instructions.

We just don't want you running the nic_config stuff on the TiVo because it will overwrite rc.sysinit and rc.net...
