The files are in /var/log
I read somewhere that TIVO keeps log files on things that TIVO does.
Apparently, there is a file that keeps the box(PCB) temperature, fan speed and other things.
Then there is another file that keeps track of the number of times the TIVO has attempted to contact the service, etc...
Does anyone know where these files are, how many, their filenames, and how to remove them (at least minimize their size.)
In the same article, the writer stated that the files are purged when TIVO contacts the service.
I haven't used the TIVO service for years, and I think the files are growing so large that they are impacting the performance of my TIVO. I assume TIVO needs to keep at least part of them cached and probably needs to open and close them to update them. All that takes away resources (memory, processor ticks etc...) I have large hard drives so I don't think the files take up much % of HD space but...
Thanks, Mark.
