Hmmm... I an try recording a movie at best quality and extracting it to see what happens, but I did not change anything thatmight limit the size of extracted files. Are you extracting to a FAT drive? What happens when you hit the 2GB limit? Does it just stop? Does it abort?

Tivoapp compleatly crashes when it gets to 2.48 GB (2,663,743,488 bytes) this is on 2 different systems (both running w2k/fat32).

Tivoweb says this about the shows length:

Duration 2:20 (2:12)
Size 3736 MB

I think what we need here is a way to split the stream into X meg chunck - I'm sure this is a Windows limit and not the app - something like the 2gb limit on AVI files I suppose.

Any other show that is smaller seems to be working just fine.

The files that are produced by TivoApp are not AVI, but either Tystream, MPG or the individual audio and video files. None of these have any kind of inherent limits on the size of files. Fat32 does limit you to 4GB files, NTFS does not.

If the application is crashing, that may be because of something in the Tivo tystream that is causing if grief. If you can burn a DVD with the raw tystream on it amd mail it to me, I'll look at the file and see about fixing the application. There seems to be some streams that cause it to crash, but I have not yet been able to get one of these streams so I can fix the application.
