Instead of adding guide data physically to the Tivo, do y'all know of anyone working on a way to setup your own guide data servers. By this, I mean instead of having your Tivo contact the Tivo servers, it would contact your own inhouse server. I remember reading somewhere that a Tivo simply retrieves it's guide data via FTP or TFTP (I forget which). If we could figure out the file format it downloads, it seems like making our own guide data would be pretty easy. This away, the Tivo would do all the hard work of building it's database, slices, etc with the guide data. Any thoughts?
