I've been a TiVo owner for about two and a half years now, and love it. But we just moved from Silicon Valley up to Portland Oregon. As such, our new phone company, Qwest, has decided we don't need phone service for at least another month. TiVo got unplugged and put away because there wasn't any more program guide, and I'm going through withdrawls....

I know that I can do the TiVoNet upgrade and go through our *sigh* cable modem (damn Qwest for not having DSL here yet, much less phone lines). I've read that the daily calls are done over the net, but what about the initial setup calls that TiVo has to make? I need to tell TiVo that we have a new cable company, etc, to get the new lineup, but if the initial setup won't work over ethernet, then I'm screwed.

Thanks!
