i bought a standalone tivo, have just recieved my tivonet card, and i'm a total newbie to linux and the tivo system. i'm an old timer when it comes to vcd, svcd, divx and other forms of dvd backups. i have a few simple questions that i couldn't find in the FAQ on this site.

1. when i install the tivonet card, does it install the 2.5 updates? 9thtee's guides are not very clear on this... they say i need the 2.5 updates, but don't say where to get them.

2. when i install the drivers for the tivonet card, does it install the necessary daemons to run TivoAPP? (TivoWEB and the ftp server)... or do i have to setup those programs manually? and if so, where do i get them?
