Have you upgraded your Unix shell?
I've had my tivo nic for several months now, but have been too lazy to play with ExactStream because it looked difficult. Well, after reading the instructions, it doesnt seem that bad, it's just that the instructions have 5 different ways to do it. Well, the 'easiest' looks to be using esdirect.
Well, when I use it, I only am able to get the first 3.64megs of the file ALL of the time. However, when I open the file with vlc, it really is only the first frame, but about 10 seconds of it.
The odd thing is that with almost everything in my Now Playing list, it stops functioning when the block ends with '3800'. for example: 01403800, 01783800. Not all do this, but most. It's probably just a coincidence that this is at the 3.6meg point, but who knows.
Anyway, the tivo has been rebooted, I have the latest extractstream stuff from cvs, etc etc blah blah. Anyone else had this? It sucks. I've got three Tenacious D episodes on my tivo from a year ago, and I want to vcd 'em!
