Can I join the dumb and stupid club too? I'd appreciate a HOW-TO on all aspects of the extraction process, with the audio sync being top of the list.

I have started playing with an idea that I have not seen posted: extracting each FID separately, muxing them individually, and then combining them. It seems as though this would remove any cummulative effect.

Anyone have any thoughts on the audio sync?

I have the audio and video coming off the unit perfectly, the green bar is cropped out, but I can't seem to make the audio sync correctly. It is just off an 1/8 of a second or so, but it is noticeable. Uggg, so close! :)

I tried bumping my fps down from 29 to 23, but that didn't help any. Anyone have any luck doing this? It is driving me nuts.

Unfortunately, that idea won't work, because when you have a show with more than one FSID, the next FSID is dependent on the stream from the previous FSID. Most notably, there are sequences stored in the FSIDs, so if you mux each FSID separately, the sequences for the second and later FSIDs do not get reset with the new FSID, so you will get a sequence error and lost video and audio.
