Well I just bought my TiVo three days ago, cracked it open immediately to upgrade it to a larger drive, and then blew out the crappy modem in a lightning storm! I wish I could just stick a modem on the DSS port and use it instead, but I've heard that doesn't work due to lack of hardware flow control on the 3-pin serial cables.

The other option is to run a serial cable across my living room to my computer, and set it up for PPP over that... no thanks.

Now I see 9thtee is out of TiVoNET until 6/27!! What the hell can I do now? :-(
