I bought a Gateway Media Center PC when it first came out a couple of years ago. I'd really like to extend it to the other TV's in the house or at least my upstairs TV. I heard that the Xbox 360 has a built-in extender to do this. My question is if this is true and if so, how does the picture look?

Curious to know if it's worth the money to buy it for that purpose only - I'm not a big gamer. Or are there better options out there?

I am using XBOX 360 with th Media Extender and have a Media Center PC in my environment. I use it not so much for play back like a TV but for pictures and home videos that I can bring up anytime via the XBOX 360.

That's exactly what I want to use it for too. How's the picture resolution? Was it fairly easy to set up?

HR10-250, Samsung SIR-S4120R, SIR-S4080R, 2 Philips DSR704s (one connected to a Slingbox A/V). One box used the "Zipper"; rest used PTVnet to enable networking features.

Check out an app called Twonky Media server. http://twonkymedia.de/ it allowed me to not only share my image, music and video files similar to the Zune app but it also includes the ability to play shoutcast streams to the xbox. It is very cool.
