Help the Networks Recast Their Fall Shows

casttheseactors

The post-upfront shuffle, let the games begin. After-all, it happens every year. Networks rush their pilots into production so that they’ll be ready to tout, with much fanfare mind you, their ‘next big things’ to media buyers. Only to quietly begin recasting and retooling the moment advertisers commit their millions (heheheh, suckers!)

According to the Hollywood Reporter (who is living up to their namesake by reporting), ABC’s FORGOTTEN has jettisoned its lead investigator played by British import Rupert Penry-Jones, NCIS: LOS ANGELES is dropping Louise Lombard and THREE RIVERS is continuing the trend that seems to plague star Alex O’Loughlin (see: MOONLIGHT) by recasting the female lead originally played by Julia Ormond. Changes are also in store for TRAUMA, THE GOOD WIFE and NBC’s 100 QUESTIONS (details of which can be found here.)

Which is where you come in.

In an effort to remind networks and showrunners alike that there are an entire slew of fan favorites who currently find themselves with a little too much free time on their hand, we thought we could compile the ultimate list of actors who would make a welcome addition to any of your soon-to-be favorite new fall shows.

Getting the ball rolling, here are some of our personal favorites: Keri Lynn Pratt, Summer Glau, Brian Austin Green, Lena Headey, Liza Weil, Tom Amandes, Joshua Malina, Michael Vartan, Damien Lewis, Lauren Graham, Irene Molloy, and Lindsay Sloane.

Feel free to add your suggestions in the comments below.

Sophia Myles should audition for the Julia Ormond role in Three Rivers - we already know she's got great chemistry with Alex O'Loughlin. And Lindsay Pulsipher should audition for NCIS: Los Angeles - she was great in the tv show The Beast with Patrick Swayze. Speaking of The Beast - if Supernatural is casting for someone to play Lucifer this coming season, Travis Fimmel would be excellent!

I think Sophia Myles would be great cast opposite Alex O'Louglin in Three Rivers. They have great screen chemistry.

As far as casting for the female character in NCIS Los Angeles, I would love to see Allison Janey in that role. She would most definitely bring a lot to the character. She was terrific in the West Wing.
