Warner Bros. is having a hard time convincing people that two DVD formats on one disc is better than one, pushing back the launch of the first dual-format discs until next year. The theory is that the dual-duty DVDs will avert a format war and make things less confusing to the consumer.

Will the big studios see the value in this? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. So far, only Warner Bros. and Paramount have jumped on this particular bandwagon.
