Realizing that it's probably a good idea if one's cable tuner is able to effectively speak to the cable card and Media Center, Microsoft rolled out an update today. The update also addresses several issues with Media Center's extensibility platform, along with other incidental problems - such as being able to actually hear that live TV show you're watching.
