Today’s topic: Sanctuary!

I’ve mentioned Sanctuary before and I’ve been slow to get this to you.  For that, I’d like you all to blame my son and his plague. 

So, onto the important stuff; what is this new show, Sanctuary?  Is it really a show?  The answer is a little complicated.  Sanctuary is a first in its genre.  An interactive, science fiction, web-based show.  But what does that mean?  To be honest, I’m not completely sure yet.  But it sounds cool. 

Taken from the site’s description, “…Fusing stunning visual effects, video game technology and cutting edge web design, Sanctuary takes the viewer into a thrilling world where science meets the supernatural. This fictional online universe fills the void left by traditional network television by providing multiple High Definition resolutions, immersive interaction, and direct communication between the viewer and the Sanctuary creative team.”

 On the novels front, I mentioned earlier that White Knight by Jim Butcher was recently released.  It's book 9 in The Dresden Files.  I read this fairly quickly so I need to schedule a re-read, but overall it was good.  I didn't find it as gripping as some of the earlier books, like Grave Peril or Death Masks (one of the best of the series) but Jim writes an engaging story and if you're a fan of the books, it's definitely worth buying.  If you haven't read any of this series, you might want to give it a look.  The first book, Storm Front, started off a little rougher in style but Jim quickly smoothes out and takes the reader on a wildly fun adventure in magic and mayhem. 

And, in other news, Author Kurt Vonnegut dies at age 84.  So long, Mr. Vonnegut, and thanks for all the fish.
