TV Watchers Moving to a PC
According to The Seattle Times, TV Watchers are migrating to watching TV on personal computer screens and they claim that some day soon television and personal computers will be the same.Bringing up the fact we can currently time-shift using our digital video recorders and grab peeks at last night's "Colbert Report" on YouTube as well as downloading entire episodes from broadcasters and iTunes, networks are taking notice and wanting to profit from this trend.
The article goes on to take stock of the various network's web properties and what video content is found there. For example, NBC includes full episodes of NBC's shows as well as highlights, previews, replays and a lot of web-only content. ABC also provides full episodes and previews. CBS includes recent episodes and original content and their streaming seemed to be the best out of all the networks. The CW is just starting to add full episodes but their streaming site seems to break constantly. Fox was the only major network not to have full episodes on line.
