DirecTV TiVo Problems?

Apparently there are quite a few people having issues with DirecTV's new HD DVR and DirecTV's TiVo DVRs (such as the HR10-250) where people say the DVRs fail to record shows and mysteriously delete programs previously recorded.

"Tonight my HR10-250 states it deleted Cold Case on TNT HD early to make space for another program. The kicker is, it did not record the program it supposedly deleted and the only program scheduled to record was Cold Case," says a poster named lmk911.

I guess the folks over on TCF plug their DirecTV TiVos into the phone line. Silly people trusting DirecTV to deliver software!

Has anyone noticed these issues? Perhaps DirecTV is sabotaging the TiVo boxes to get rid of them and replace with their own HD DVR. Yet another reason to hack your TiVo.

This is nothing compaired to the issues that D*TV clients are having with the new Non-TIVO HR20-700 DVR units.
The OS is hardley a replacement for TIVO and the unit was shipped with only 30% of it's possible functions working. Thanks to the hard work/and pressure put on D*TV by the public it is getting better.
The early deletion of items is a 6.3b software bug. Tivo and directv are at fault, but most directv as they didn't test out the software enough before releasing it.

I am having problems with the Tivo Season pass on my Directv DVR. The shows that I have listed in my season pass show up on the to do list as "will not be recorded" or "no upcoming episodes" even though the Directv guide shows the episodes. I spoke with Directv tonight and they said it is a software issue and they do not know when it will be fixed and that they will not notify me when it is.

This is interesting because I have had Directv for 8 years and they have been great to this point. At least they gave me my Tivo service ($5/month) for free for three months. The only suggestion that Directv provided was to set the DVR to tape a specific time. If I wanted that, I would have kept my VCR.

Direct TV replaced the HD-DVR TiVo with the Model 700 because we were unable to get HD on any local channels. We can now the the HD locals, but most evenings the picture freezes and pixalates.

Technicians have been out 4 times and the box replaced once. Frustrated, it always happens during the football games, while taping 24 and other shows I like. Then when you replay, you get the freeze frames. If I am watching the HD channel and it happens, I can turn to the non-HD channel until it clears, but I am paying good money for DirectTv, it should be better than this.

Anyone else having the pixal problem?
