Not five minutes after I got home this afternoon, someone rang my doorbell. My first reaction was "Who the hell is that?" as is usually the case. Upon opening the door, I noticed the Dish Network logo on the guy's shirt. The usual thoughts went through my head, such as "Here we go again, trying to get me to switch."

It actually turned out to be a pleasant encounter, as after I told him I had five TiVos, he understood why I had no desire to switch; I didn't quite fit the mold of most customers in the neighborhood. I even showed him the multiswitches on the side of my house and all of the wires emanating from them.

Before Eric (the technician) left, I told him to visit this site. He said he would definitely check it out. I hope he does, as most traffic here deals with standalone or DirecTV TiVos. Information and opinions about Dish products would be good to see here, too.
