For as well traveled as you are, I would think that you would have a Slingbox hooked up to one of your TiVos, so you can get all of your home channels and recorded TV!
DVR + Slingbox = TV Heaven
Being a veteran of living in hotels, I agreed to go to Keystone, South Dakota for part of my leave (vacation). Before we left, I specifically asked about two things: internet access and workout facilities. I was told the hotel had wireless, and that if I was in a room that couldn't get a signal, I could use the ethernet connection. As for the workout facilities, I was told there were no weights, so I would have to bring my own.
Immediately after we got here, I realized that I could get neither wireless nor ethernet in my room (I would have to go downstairs). Since that wasn't what I was told, I asked to switch rooms. Luckily, the guy at the desk had no problem with it, so we switched rooms today. This room has an ethernet connection, so I plugged my WRT54GS into it (yes, I brought a wireless router). Not only do I have wireless in my room (for both me and my wife, as she is doing an online Masters degree), but others in the hotel also have wireless who didn't before. :) FYI, the WRT54GS I brought is one I hacked and used as a wireless bridge (see the Articles section), though it's now functioning as a router.
As for the workout stuff, I brought my Bowflex dumbbells and a folding weight bench (see a previous blog entry for pictures).

HR10-250, Samsung SIR-S4120R, SIR-S4080R, 2 Philips DSR704s (one connected to a Slingbox A/V). One box used the "Zipper"; rest used PTVnet to enable networking features.

You can also log in using OpenID.
There is a Dish Network dish on the side of the hotel. Too bad there are only 16 channels, and no HBO, only Encore!
