Ghost Hunters S3 Season Finale

What a cool show. I've watched this from the beginning, enjoy anything involving ghosts, except ghost dog: way of the samurai; but anyhow...

If you haven't seen the show, give it a try on DVD.

Having the table move was cool, but wow the closet door and glass. Hairs on my neck got a little tingly when that happened. It's really nice when they get these things on film.

Brian seems too jumpy to me, he's always saying look over there, etc. He seems very easily excitable, kind of how Andy was. He's starting to get on my nerves, but I guess he adds drama to the show, so whatever.

I've enjoyed this season more than the past 2. It seems they are starting to venture out more and investigate in other states which is nice. New England can't be that haunted vs the rest of the country. I do like how they try to bust the ghosts or noises/voices anyway they can. It seems like a fun job to try to disprove something like that. I like them as they don't immediately say, a place is haunted unless there really is some hard evidence to back it up.

Now, if Pilgrim Television will stop putting in those stupid special effects. I've seen interviews with Jason and Grant and they hate them too, as they have no creative control over how the show airs, which sucks, but I understand it more of a documentary show than an entertainment show.

You're going to get my take on all things TV, whether you like it or not.

I watch more TV than anyone I know, some would say even a little too much (except for that reality crap). It's an obsession and a hobby for me. You'll be getting my opinions on shows I watch, shows I think you should be, or ones to avoid together.

What kind of "hard evidence" is there ever for considering a place haunted? Do they ever actually say they think a place is?

The well-meaning contention that all ideas have equal merit seems to me little different from the disastrous contention that no ideas have any merit.

I always suspected this to be one of your favorite movies: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099653/p...

They get video footage mostly for "hard" evidence. It's only happened a handful of times. It helps to have camera crews all over the place. It would be one thing if they were all excited when it happens, and they are to a degree, but they are also then trying to figure out why it's happening. Yes, anything with Swayze and Whoopi, I'm there.

It takes a heck of a lot for them to say a place is "haunted." They've got as hard an evidence requirement as anyone investigating the paranormal, but being they don't have even scientific backgrounds (and who has a "legitimate" Para-scientific background?) I think they still do a pretty good job. I've watched both seasons, and I've seen them find "interesting" stuff in something like 10% of the places they visit. They DO work with "sensitives," but they don't seem to like to because you can't measure a "feeling." But they have captured some really creepy EVP's (I give a lot of them a 50/50 chance as the human mind is wired to find patterns even where they aren't) and a few things on camera that really blow me away and are hard to explain. I've also seen them on many occassions "capture" something that they then explain away, often using the skills they've learned as plumbers. Sounds kind of funny - like Mario and Luigi go ghost hunting! Ha!
