ABC Season Finale Roundup: Alias Series Finale

Well, you're welcome except for last season.

After 5 seasons, Alias drew to a close tonight. We finally get to see the Rambaldi storyline play out, although a little anti-climatic. It's not too bad though as knowing Sloane, he's been self-centered the entire series, so having him get immortality is fitting, but was expecting something a little more involved with Sydney. Guess page 47 was true.

The ending wasn't in true Alias fashion, they ended on a happy note for once with Vaughn and Sydney now having 2 children, Isabel and little Jack. It looked to me to be about 9-10 years since their last mission based on Isabel's age.

Jack and Irina are dead. Sloane is trapped forever, but alive, he definitely got what he deserved.

Dixon is back in charge again, something he has earned over the past 2 seasons, especially with Jack and Sloane gone.

Marshall is doing well as it sounds.

I would have like to see Weiss come back and find out Vaughn was still alive. I kept waiting to have him make an appearance, but never happened.

Sark is still at large, not a surprise as he's a little weasel. They've definitely left the door open for a tv movie or mini-series in a few years by keeping the main players still around. Whether that involves Sydney or Rachel, who knows. They've been grooming Rachel to take Sydney's place, and it seems to have happened with her on her own missions now. Interesting to see Isabel have the gift for the Bristow line of work.

I can't walk away from the series totally satisfied, but in the grand scheme of series finales, not bad JJ and crew, not bad at all. Now, if you'll tell us what the letter game is with having all the cities, or most of them, have a highlighted letter, I will be totally satisfied, and I'll be waiting for my season 4 DVD rebate check.

Now will have some time to go back and re-watch the dvd's knowing the outcome of the series instead of having to worry they would cut off the show without a final resolution. It was good to see the show back in season 1-3 form again. I'm glad ABC gave them the time to complete the series on the show's terms and not ABC's. After all, last season's lackluster performance was due in part to ABC's hands-on approach of wanting to dumb down the storylines to attract new viewers, no cliff hangers etc which alienated the loyal viewers that enjoyed seeing the Alias logo and boom-sound come on the screen after finding out someone was still alive.

I don't feel cheated after the last 8-9 episodes have really turned the experience around, so thanks Alias.

You're going to get my take on all things TV, whether you like it or not.

I watch more TV than anyone I know, some would say even a little too much (except for that reality crap). It's an obsession and a hobby for me. You'll be getting my opinions on shows I watch, shows I think you should be, or ones to avoid together.

Did anyone actually watch this show through to the end of the series?  I don't even think I finished season 4.  I was SO into it early on, but eventually it just became noise.  Same story over and over and over, and *totally* unbelievable plot twists.

Bottom line, really...  the Jennifer Garner factor just couldn't carry me through 5 seasons.

Well, I did, but I'm crazy.  You get a pass for s4, I forgive you, so does JJ.  Zombies and big red ball.  There, s4 summed up for you.  Just watch the last 5 mins of season 4.  Didn't totally make up for the crappy season, but came close.
